Lecturer/Senior Lecturer
DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, National University of Singapore

The Department of Psychology at the National University of Singapore invites applications for teaching positions at the level of lecturer or senior lecturer to begin either January 2011 or July 2011. Contracts will be up to 3 years with renewal possible. Candidates must have obtained the Ph.D. or other terminal doctoral qualification by the time of commencing employment and show evidence of strong teaching ability. These positions are part of the department's drive to expand teaching capacity within psychology and successful candidates should show evidence of strong teaching ability in abnormal/clinical psychology. Applicants should send full CV along with a statement of teaching interests and experience and arrange for letters from three academic references. Evidence of quality teaching, including teaching evaluations, should be included as well.

Senior Psychologist/Counsellor
University Health Centre, National University of Singapore

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide time-limited individual, couples and/or group counselling, crisis intervention, psychological assessments, and outreach services to students and/or staff.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate or Masters degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, Counsellor Education or Clinical Social Work (preferably accredited by internationally recognized professional organizations like APA, CPA, BPS, APS etc.)
  • Able to work with students and staff of culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Previous experience in crisis intervention work
  • Previous relevant working experience
  • Previous experience working in a university counselling centre, conducting supervision, and conducting research/program evaluation would be an advantage
