What to Expect?

This event will be divided into two parts. It will start with an introduction to the current academic understanding of hypnosis and its therapeutic uses. If there is time and interest, participants will then have the opportunity to join a brief group experience of hypnosis.

The Speaker

Dr Jonathan Marshall

Dr. Jonathan Marshall is passionate about the mind’s ability to improve well-being and performance. He is a psychotherapist, executive coach, and leadership trainer; and he is on the faculties of the National University of Singapore and Singapore Management University where he teaches the psychology of leadership. Jonathan received his doctorate in psychology from Stanford University. His research was on the application of hypnosis and meditation for the treatment of depression. His postdoctoral fellowship was at Harvard University. Jonathan’s primary focus is working with individuals who want to lead their lives with greater access to their strengths and a clearer sense of purpose. His clients include leaders in government, corporations, non-profits, and sports. He is a third-generation Singaporean.
