With the current COVID-19 situation, most of us are working from home and with that, our daily activities are reduced as well. It is important to maintain healthy mental and physical fitness as they are both closely correlated.
Prolonged sitting and sedentary lifestyle are the root causes to serious health concerns. The best way to counter the effects of a sedentary lifestyle is by stepping up exercises and taking stretch breaks which can be done in front of your desk.

A dedicated and determined Former National Badminton Player of Malaysia who has extensive knowledge in exercise, sports science and sports psychology, Daphne Ng Chiew Yen holds a Bachelor Degree in Sports Science (UM) and Masters Degree in Sports Science (UM) majoring in Sports Psychology.
As a badminton coach, one of Daphne’s significant achievements was helping the Malaysia Deaflympic Team to win 2nd Place in Deaflympics 2017, Turkey. For her passion in sports, she was best-known as the talent of MILO@Nestle “Jom, Aktif Negaraku” Campaign.
In the area of sports psychology, Daphne supported the Malaysia Manila Sea Games 2019 E-Sports Team on psychological aspects and helped the team to win the first E-Sports Sea Games Gold Medal in Hearthstone. Her corporate wellness programs are effective and engaging which results to positive working environment. She looks forward to sharing at the SPS Coaching Psychology lunch talk.
