- Tele-Psychology: Are We Ethically Ready For It?
November 26, 2020
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
The rapid spread of COVID-19 and social distancing measures are changing the way psychologists work across the breadth of the field. And in the transition from face-to-face to remote communication, new ethical challenges are cropping up.
In the upcoming joint SIG event, Dr Lohsnah Jeevanandam and Mr Adrian Toh will expound on the revised SPS Code of Ethics (2019) to discuss on pertinent issues surrounding tele-psychology. These include issues relating to competence, informed consent, confidentiality, as well as boundaries.
Through this platform, the speakers also hope to address some of the commonly faced ethical dilemma. They invite practitioners to briefly list some of the ethical dilemmas surrounding tele-psychology for this discussion.
