SPS Membership Application

There are 2 steps for SPS membership application:

  1. Completion of Manual Application form
  2. Setting up SPS membership profile and PayPal payment

Please read through all instructions carefully before applying for membership. 

Notice for Local Applicants: Please note that for local applications, certified true copies of transcripts and academic records will be accepted for membership application. Please ensure that true copies are certified by the awarding university, awarding organisation, Advocate & Solicitor, a Notary Public, A Justice of Peace or embassy with the following details:

  1. Stamp of authorising institution or person
  2. Name / Signature of certifying officer
  3. Date of certification

1. Manual Application Form

Please use the manual form for SPS membership application. Instructions for application and payment can be found on the form. The GIRO form can be found here. Applicants are advised to examine the eligibility criteria and apply accordingly. Criteria and categories of membership can be found here.


2. SPS profile setup and PayPal payment

Click on the respective category payment links below and follow the instructions to set up PayPal payment of membership fees. Please note that an automatic payment profile is set up to help members keep track of their membership dues (this option can be removed at any time). 

Once PayPal payment is complete, please click on "Return to Singapore Psychological Society"

Once you click on the "Return to Singapore Psychological Society", you might see this:

Please check your email for a membership registration link. Occasionally, this registration email may be directed to your SPAM folder. 

Once you have your log in details and password, log into the website through the admin page: http://singaporepsychologicalsociety.org/wp-login.php (if you are not directed automatically)

Once you have logged in, click on the top right hand corner and click on "Edit My Profile"

Please fill in all relevant details (through the drop down menu) and complete the set up of your SPS membership profile with "Update Profile". You do not need to upload any documents.

Please choose the category of membership that you wish to apply for:

A. FULL MEMBERSHIP (Local / Overseas)
Full Member Local (S$75) / Full Member Overseas (S$105)**


Associate Member Local (S$60) / Associate Member Overseas (S$90)**


Affiliate Member Local (S$45) / Affiliate Member Overseas (S$75)**


D. STUDENT MEMBERSHIP (Local / Overseas)
Student Member Local (S$30) / Student Member Overseas (S$60)**


** Note that an administrative fee of $30.00 will accompany all new membership applications (local and overseas). An additional $30.00 overseas fee will be applicable to all overseas applicants to cover any overseas cost. This is to be paid over and above the above mentioned membership fees.

Setting up a membership profile is not equivalent to a successful application for SPS membership. Please remember to submit your application package in accordance with the instructions on the form which can be found above. SPS requires all hardcopy applications to be mailed and we will not accept emails / scanned copies of transcripts / employment history and any other supporting documents (the only exception is proof of payment which can be emailed to SPS).
