About Us

Supervision SIG aims to promote the role of supervision in upholding the highest standards of effective and ethical psychological practice in Singapore. It also aims to provide a platform to disseminate supervision focused research and good practice resources. With the growing number of supervisors in Singapore, we hope that the SIG can facilitate in building this community to be a peer-resourced network for support and to provide guidance to those wishing to become accredited as supervisors.

The objectives of the Supervision SIG include the following:

  • To promote the role of supervision in upholding the highest standards of effective and ethical psychological practice in Singapore
  • To provide a platform for sharing supervision focused research, good practice guidelines as well as information about training and development opportunities to existing supervisors as well as providing a resource for those wishing to be accredited as supervisors
  • To build the community of supervisors by providing opportunities for information sharing, peer support and networking as well as mentoring for those who have not supervised before

Member Eligibility Criteria

  • A member of SPS; and
  • 5 years of relevant working experience during which the person is eligible for SRP membership; or
  • A member of SRP; or
  • An approved supervisor with the SRP
