SPS Youth Wing
Founded in June 2021, the SPS Youth Wing is formed by students who are currently pursuing psychological studies and have an interest in advancing psychology in Singapore. The SPS Youth Wing is SPS’ strategic effort to connect with the youth population and to better represent their voice at the national level.
Purpose
a. To act as the consultative body for psychology students in Singapore.
b. To act as a bridge between SPS and psychology students.
c. To support SPS in achieving their mission and vision.
d. To broaden the understanding of prospective careers within the local psychology scene.
e. To enhance knowledge and applications of psychology in everyday life
Youth Wing Executive Committee (EXCO)
a. EXCO positions include President, Vice-President, Honorary Secretary, Events Directors, Publicity Directors, and Community Engagement Directors
b. EXCO positions should ideally be from different IHLs to promote diversity of views.
c. EXCO members may stay in the Youth Wing for a maximum of 1 year after graduation and are encouraged to continue their involvement in the various committees in SPS.

Erica Tang, President
Erica Tang is an academic standout with a passion for psychology and a talent for leadership. She is currently in her Second Year at the National University of Singapore, pursuing a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology. Erica has been an active member of the SPS Youth Wing since its establishment in 2021, holding various positions: Honorary General Secretary (2022-2023) and Partnerships and Liaisons Manager (2021-2022). She currently serves as the President of the SPS Youth Wing.
At Temasek Polytechnic, Erica achieved the coveted Director's List and graduated at the top of her cohort as a Gold Medallist in the Diploma of Psychology Studies. Continuing her academic excellence at NUS, Erica has also earned a place on the Dean's List.
Passionate about psychology and mental health in Singapore, Erica dedicates her time to volunteering at the Institute of Mental Health. She currently holds the position of Chairperson of NUS Project In My Heart (IMH), leading weekly volunteering sessions at IMH and organising mental health-related seminars for NUS students.
Erica's primary interests lie in Clinical Psychology and Research. In her free time, Erica enjoys reading journal articles and spending time with her family.

Tiara Delylah, Vice President
Tiara Delylah, currently serving as the Vice-President in the SPS Youth Wing, embarked on her academic journey with a passion for Psychology at Temasek Polytechnic before furthering her studies at Singapore Management University. She has been actively volunteering within the Youth Wing since 2021, contributing to diverse Publicity projects.
Fueled by a profound interest in special needs and developmental psychology, Tiara finds fulfillment in understanding and advocating for these fields through volunteering and her co-curricular activities at school. Beyond her academic and volunteer commitments, she finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing moments with her friends and family. In her leisure time, she indulges in creative pursuits, whether it's through blogging, exploring other artistic endeavours, or immersing herself while watching dramas.

Thulasi D/O Kumaravel, Honorary General Secretary
Thulasi D/O Kumaravel is currently in her final year pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Singapore Institute of Management, University at Buffalo. Dedicated and accomplished, she holds the position of Honorary General Secretary at the SPS Youth Wing.
With a keen passion for psychology, Thulasi has served as the President of SIM Psychology Society. Her interests span across clinical and industrial-organisational psychology, reflecting her versatile approach to understanding human behaviour in various contexts. She enjoys travelling, reading, exploring new cafes, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Camelia Sephiana, Events Director
Currently in Year 3 of her Diploma in Community Development at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Camelia Sephiana brings a wealth of experience in Event Management to the SPS Youth Wing as one of our Events Directors.
An aspiring Criminal Psychologist at heart, Camelia is also a social enthusiast who is dedicated to youth development work, having started planning programmes for this demographic at the age of 15. Additionally, Camelia has co-founded an innovative app designed to enhance communication between couples through one-on-one conversations. In her free time, she finds joy in exploring caves and mountains for travel.

Ravshaan Nair, Events Director
Previously a subcommittee member in the Community Engagement portfolio, Ravshaan Nair is presently one of the Events Directors at SPS Youth Wing. Currently serving National Service, he will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the National University of Singapore in 2025.
Ravshaan's primary interests in psychology lie in the development of mental health conditions, with a particular focus on eating disorders, personality disorders, and trauma-related disorders. He is also fascinated by the internal mechanisms that drive self-motivation and achievement, and how they foster personal development, enhance education, and boost productivity. Beyond his professional endeavours, Ravshaan is a multifaceted individual with diverse interests and hobbies. He enjoys collecting vinyl records and playing sports such as football and hockey.

Syed Muhammad, Community Engagement Director
Syed Muhammad is currently pursuing his Psychology honours at the Singapore University of Social Sciences and is also serving as one of the Community Engagement Directors at SPS Youth Wing. Presently also engaged in organisational development consulting work, he has a varied work background that includes internships with a psychology technology startup and the Singapore Prison Service, where he served as a project intern and I/O psychology intern, respectively. He has also gained valuable experience working at ST Engineering Aerospace.
Extensively involved in various volunteer groups ranging from mentorship programmes to research work, Syed firmly believes in youth advocacy and empowerment. His commitment to making a positive impact in the community is evident in his participation in these initiatives.
Syed's psychology interests are diverse, encompassing psychology research and I/O psychology. Outside of work and academia, he enjoys binge-watching good Netflix releases and K-dramas, with a particular fondness for the horror genre. Additionally, he is passionate about investing, upskilling, exploring different cafes, and embarking on overseas travels.

Thasneem Firdous, Community Engagement Director
Thasneem Firdous is currently in her first year studying Psychology at the National University of Singapore. Appointed the role of Community Engagement Manager in the previous term, she is presently serving as one of the Community Engagement Directors at SPS Youth Wing.
Interestingly, Thasneem discovered her interest in psychology through her Diploma in Psychology Studies at Temasek Polytechnic. Initially unaware of what psychology truly entailed, she quickly developed a deep appreciation for the subject, particularly in clinical psychology and forensic psychology. Outside of her academic pursuits, Thasneem has a passion for photography, reading, and volunteering.

Alhena Azeem, Publicity Director
Alhena Azeem is currently in her third year studying Psychology at Singapore Institute of Management, University at Buffalo. Previously the National Marketing Director for AIESEC in Singapore, Alhena wishes to bring her creative flair and knowledge of marketing to the SPS Youth Wing as one of our Publicity Directors.
Alhena is eager to explore the diverse career paths available to psychology students, recognising the vast opportunities within the field. Her particular intrigue lies in personality psychology, where she delves into understanding the factors that influence individual behavior. Apart from her academic pursuits, Alhena indulges in various hobbies that showcase her artistic side. She is an avid reader and also enjoys engaging in artistic endeavours such as embroidery and painting.

Lim Zhi Min, Publicity Director
Lim Zhi Min is embarking on her psychology journey as a Year 1 student pursuing a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology at Nanyang Technological University. Having worked at an advertising company, she hopes to utilise the skills she learnt to serve as one of the Publicity Directors of the SPS Youth Wing.
Curious about the influence of innate factors and childhood experiences on development, Zhi Min aspires to apply her psychology knowledge to work with children in the future. Driven and eager to gain practical experience in the psychology field, she has worked as a part-time research assistant at her university. During her summer break this year, she will be also interning at the Singapore Prison Service’s Clinical Psychology Unit at the Psychological Services Branch.
Zhi Min's passion for enriching the lives of children extends to her volunteering initiatives, including tutoring lower-income students and engaging in play sessions with chronically ill children. A self-proclaimed lover of the arts, she also enjoys spending me-time exploring museums and has dabbled in theatre.
