Working with children and adolescents can be deeply rewarding—but also challenging, especially when big emotions, avoidance, and developmental factors come into play. This 6-hour workshop offers a practical, grounded introduction to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for young people, with a strong emphasis on real-life clinical application.
Through discussions, case examples, experiential exercises, and role plays, you’ll learn how to support young clients in moving toward meaningful life tasks—even in the presence of difficult thoughts and feelings. We’ll also explore ways to involve parents and caregivers to strengthen therapeutic progress and create teachable moments at home.
