Vision: The Promotion of Human Well-Being in Singapore
Mission: To Advance the Research and Practice of Psychology in Singapore

Dr Cassandra Neo is a Registered Educational Psychologist in Singapore and a Chartered Educational and Child Psychologist in the UK. She graduated with a Master of Science in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice from University College London (UCL) based at the Anna Freud Centre, and completed her placement at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. Subsequently, she returned to UCL to complete her Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology on the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) Social Service Award (SSA).

She has vast experience working in the public sector serving the local community through various Voluntary Welfare Organisations and SPED Schools in Singapore, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (NHS, UK), and in schools under a Local Authority (UK). She believes that it is crucial to use a holistic approach to working with children and their families, combining evidence based research and therapeutic thinking from a range of perspectives, including clinical and developmental psychology, systemic principles, CBT, psychoanalysis and neuroscience. She currently works with the special needs population in Singapore, partnering closely with their families, school staff and other allied health professionals.

As the Publicity and Communications Chair, she hopes to share information rooted in psychology that value adds and benefits all who are interested. Outside of work and volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family outdoors.
